It's so fun to see how we all interpret directions and interact with Art in our own unique ways. Here are some peaceful waterfalls for you to enjoy, courtesy of Ms. Twining's & Ms. Jeanie's classes. #WeRWillow

Thank you to our WR ESP Union for helping to support our FFA Chapter. The Chapter recently elected officers and they are learning the ropes that come along with starting FFA from scratch. #AgEd #StrongerTogether #WeRWillow
Whew! Things are getting busy as we get closer to the end of the school year. Since we were Distance Learning at the time , we didn't have our traditional Snow Week. In place of that, our Student Council planned Spring Fling and we got to celebrate last week. Dress Up days, outside games, Coronation and water balloons filled our week. Thank you Ms. Joyal, Mr. Frentress & Student Council! #WeRWillow

Field Trip season is back! We are so excited that our students are able to experience Field Trips once again! 4th grade recently went to Duluth / Superior. They checked out Canal Park and the Lake Superior Marine Museum, and then headed over to Superior for some skating at World of Wheels. #WeRWillow

Recently Mrs. Cadotte's 7th grade English students were each given 1 of 18 events from their current novel study Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen. They had to work together to put the events in chronological order and identify which events actually happened. There were three fake events, but true to the characters' personalities. The fake events were quickly dismissed as fake, and great discussion took place over the wording of the events - verb tense and adjectives were a HOT topic!
Leadership and problem-solving skills quickly emerged and they were able to complete the task with little need to refer to the text.
One student commented that it didn't even feel like they were working, but they were working hard!
Mikaelsen visited Willow River Area School during National Education Week of 2019. #WeRWillow
